Holy Crap. Hillary Is Actually Getting Roundly Criticized Over This Email Thing. And The AP Is Even Threatening A Lawsuit!
According to this, the AP is actually considering legal action against Hillary Clinton over Email-gate, y'all.

They're saying that because requests through the Freedom of Information Act essentially went unfulfilled, and that they've exhausted "administrative remedies" that now a lawsuit might just be in order.

I cannot tell you how much this pleases me.

I nearly had to pull over on my drive to work yesterday, because I was listening to the radio and I heard Alan Colmes actually say that Hillary needed to answer for this whole email scandal. ALAN FREAKING COLMES.

Is it possible that the media is actually turning against her? Or at least, acting like Actual Journalists, finally?

I don't want to be too optimistic, because this is, after all, the mainstream media we're talking about. But even the mainstream media doesn't like giving cover to people who hide things from THEM. And that's really what's happening here. Hillary Clinton, because she believes she's untouchable, plays by her own set of rules. There's no reason to think the same wouldn't be true of PRESIDENT Hillary Clinton. And the sooner people start figuring that out, the better.

What do you think? Is this just going to get swept under the rug like every other Democrat scandal? Or do you think this will end Hillary's chances at the White House?

Hillary Clinton says she's asked State Department to make emails public

Report: Hillary Clinton ran her own private email server
Hillary Clinton said late Wednesday that she had asked the State Department to make thousands of her emails available to the public, her first public response to a furor that followed the revelation that she used a private e-mail account for her correspondence while Secretary of State.

State Department Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf released a statement early Thursday saying, "The State Department will review for public release the emails provided by Secretary Clinton to the Department, using a normal process that guides such releases. We will undertake this review as quickly as possible; given the sheer volume of the document set, this review will take some time to complete

I want the public to see my email. I asked State to release them. They said they will review them for release as soon as possible.

Clinton's message came hours after the House select committee investigating the 2012 attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya subpoenaed her personal emails. The committee also also sent letters to Internet companies informing them of "their legal obligation to protect all relevant documents."

The controversy began Monday after The New York Times reported that Clinton had never had an official government e-mail account for conducting official business. The practice is a potential violation of federal law, and has also raised questions of why Clinton went to such lengths to keep her messages off government servers.

The Times reported that members of the Benghazi committee initially discovered that Clinton had used a private e-mail account during her tenure at Foggy Bottom. The paper also said that Clinton had turned over 55,000 messages that had been selected by her advisers to the State Department in response to a records request. Clinton's Twitter post appeared to refer to those messages, about 300 of which are related to the Benghazi attack.

On Wednesday, the Associated Press reported that the server Clinton used to store her emails had been traced to an Internet service registered to the Clintons' home address in Chappaqua, N.Y. That maneuver would have given additional legal opportunities to block government or private subpoenas in criminal, administrative or civil cases because her lawyers could object in court before being forced to turn over any emails.

Meanwhile, the AP said it was considering legal action under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act against the State Department for failing to turn over some emails covering Clinton's tenure as the nation's top diplomat after waiting more than one year. The department has never suggested that it doesn't possess all Clinton's emails.

The controversy has also raised new questions about Clinton's credibility as a presidential candidate. Though she has not formally declared her intention to run, Clinton is widely considered to be the clear front-runner for the Democratic nomination.

Clinton still has not described her motivation for using a private email account -- hdr22(at)clintonemail.com, which traced back to her own private email server registered under an apparent pseudonym -- for official State Department business. However, a Clinton aide told Fox News she was not bucking the system, and in fact was keeping with what former secretaries of state had done, including Colin Powell. The aide stressed that Clinton quickly responded to the request from the department for her emails, following updated guidance from the government's central records office.

The White House has deferred the question of whether any laws were broken to the State Department. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters Wednesday it was "clear that Secretary Clinton's team has gone to great lengths" to collect and turn over emails and said Clinton's actions seemed consistent with the Federal Records Act.

But he also reiterated that the administration gave "very specific guidance" that employees should use official accounts when conducting government business, which Clinton did not do. Earnest later clarified that "when there are situations where personal email accounts are used, it is important for those records to be preserved, consistent with the Federal Records Act."

Fox News' Chad Pergram, Doug McKelway, Mike Emanuel, James Rosen and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

I believe we can safely say that the traditional media is not going to begin practicing journalism again. You might get the sort of dogged questioning they ought to be practicing from an overseas reporter, or possibly from the "new media" if they can get access. I won't be holding my breath as former SecState Clinton knows that right now, as a private citizen, she can dodge those folks. If we're waiting for a State Dept. review of this, I suspect they will put this review right behind finishing the one on the Keystone XL pipeline...

Hillary Clinton’s State Department Made Ambassador Step Down For Using Private Email

Image

In case you haven’t had your daily dose of liberal hypocrisy today, here’s a fresh cup for you involving some new details about the Hillary Clinton email scandal.

Apparently, the State Department–under her watch–forced a U.S. ambassador to resign from his post after it was discovered he was using a private email address back in 2012.

From Federalist:

Although Hillary Clinton and her allies may be claiming that her private e-mail system is no big deal, Hillary’s State Department actually forced the 2012 resignation of the U.S. ambassador to Kenya in part for setting up an unsanctioned private e-mail system. According to a 2012 report from the State Deptartment’s inspector general, former U.S. ambassador to Kenya Scott Gration set up a private e-mail system for his office in 2011.

The inspector general’s report offered a scathing assessment of Gration’s information security practices — practices that are eerily similar to those undertaken by Clinton while she served as Secretary of State […]

The inspector general’s report specifically noted that Gration violated State Department policy by using a private, unsanctioned e-mail service for official. In its executive summary listing its key judgments against the U.S. ambassador to Kenya who served under Hillary Clinton, the inspector general stated that Gration’s decision to willfully violate departmental information security policies highlighted Gration’s “reluctance to accept clear-cut U.S. Government decisions.” The report claimed that this reluctance to obey governmental security policies was the former ambassador’s “greatest weakness.”

With Clinton’s political life imploding all around her, how in the world does this lady think she even has a remote possibility of winning a presidential race?

Perhaps I’m underestimating the power of the delusions the former secretary of state and her fellow liberals are under.

Clearly, if Clinton’s State Department asked Gration to step down, they knew and understood the law pertaining to the use of private emails, yet went ahead and participated in the same kind of behavior.

Do we really need more proof this woman was conducting some shady business while in her position as secretary of state? It seems pretty clear she was doing things she didn’t want anyone else to know about and was willing to break the law in order to keep it quiet.

Let’s hope Clinton is soon held accountable for her illegal activities and the fallout from all of this ruins her presidential aspirations.

10 Scandals Involving Hillary Clinton You May Have Forgotten
Brad Fox | March 10, 2015 11:45am ET

Image

Hillary Clinton has been involved in scandals before. Here are some notable ones you may have forgotten.

Chinagate -
The Clinton-Gore campaign in 1996 allegedly took bribes from Chinese banks and their government to help their dwindling poll numbers. The Chinese embassy in D.C. helped siphon funds into the DNC. Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown (who was killed in a plane crash), at Hillary’s instruction reportedly sold seats on department trade missions to China. Joint congressional hearings were canceled after Democrats threatened to bring up Republican campaign issues and then Monica Lewinsky actually saved this scandal from media attention.

Travelgate Scandal
- Catherine Cornelius, a 25-year-old cousin of Bill's was allegedly promised the position of director of the travel office. Hillary Clinton then (indirectly) fired seven employees from the United States travel office and replaced them with associates from Arkansas. Records were either nowhere to be found or incorrectly filed. And, there's a reported attempt to give a White House airline contract to friend. Hillary had the FBI investigate Billy Dale, the head of the travel office, ruining his career who was found to do nothing wrong, but was then audited by the IRS for three years after.

"Billy Dale and his family went through hell thanks to the Clintons, Attorney General Janet Reno, the FBI and the IRS," Irvine wrote. "Hillary's greatest crime was not perjury, it was trying to send an innocent man to prison to justify having fired him and his staff without cause."

“A memorandum by a former Presidential aide depicts Hillary Rodham Clinton as the central figure in the 1993 travel office dismissals, a politically damaging episode that the aide said had resulted from a climate of fear in which officials did not dare question Mrs. Clinton's wishes," wrote the NYT in 1996.
Whitewater Scandal - Hillary and her husband were partners in a shady real estate development firm called Whitewater Development Corp in Arkansas. Accusations of impropriety against the Clintons and others soon surfaced, regarding improper campaign contributions, political and financial favors, and tax benefits. Clinton’s friends and majority owners, James and Susan McDougal were jailed for fraud, Clinton's successor, Governor Jim Tucker, was jailed for fraud along with municipal judges David Hale and Eugene Fitzhugh who worked with James McDougal. The Clintons walked away unscathed, having apparently done nothing wrong.

Vince Foster Jr. Mystery - Questions cloud the suicide of Vince Foster, former colleague, friend, and White House aid of Hillary’s who had connections to Travelgate, and the Whitewater scandals. Read the link above entitled "The Man Who Knew too Much. . ."

Filegate Scandal - Craig Livingstone, director of the White House's Office of Personnel Security "improperly" accessed FBI files on several hundred individuals.

Mrs. Clinton called it a, "completely honest bureaucratic snafu."

Many of these files were on people from previous Republican administrations. Hillary Clinton hired Livingston and is alleged to have looked at the files and requested this move. She was accused by Republicans of violating privacy rights of individuals she viewed as political adversaries.

Cattle-Futures Miracle - Hillary’s first commodity trade was in cattle futures where she ordered 10 futures contracts which normally cost $12,000 dollars with only $1,000 dollars in her account. This turned into $6,300 dollars by the next morning and after 10 months totaled $100,000, with trading help from James B. Blair.

“Blair, who at the time was outside counsel to Tyson Foods Inc., Arkansas' largest employer, says he was advising Clinton out of friendship, not to seek political gain. . ." reports The WashingtonPost.
Robert L. "Red" Bone ran the Springdale, AK financial services company REFCO allowed the trades and later, after investigation, had to pay the largest fine at the time in the exchanges history and was suspended for three years. Hillary Clinton said she was able to make the successful trading because she read the Wall Street Journal for research.

Lootergate
- Bill and especially Hillary started to ship White House furniture to their personal home in Chappaqua, N.Y.. The Clintons claimed they were donated, but at only some were proven to be donated and meant to stay in the White House after contacting the manufacturers. The Clintons returned some of the furniture after pressure was put on them to do so.

“GOP lawmakers and others criticized Hillary Rodham Clinton in particular for accepting many presents just before she joined the Senate and became covered by strict ethics rules that prohibit accepting gifts worth more than $50.”
Drug Dealer Donor Scandal - Convicted drug trafficker Jorge Cabrera apparently made such a big donation to the Clinton’s campaign that he was invited to the White house without Secret Service present.

Ponzi Scheme and Political Favor Scandal - Norman Yung Yuen Hsu was a convicted pyramid investment promoter, and major Democratic donor. He contributed an undisclosed amount to Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign.

“He was sentenced to more than 24 years in prison in 2009 by a judge who accused him of funding his fraud by manipulating the political process in a way that 'strikes at the very core of our democracy.”
Benghazi - Just watch this

Here is an article posted in the New York Times in 1996 entitled “Blizzard of Lies” about Hillary Clinton.

The mega Clinton Foundation is also rife with cronyism and political favors.

I'm not sure Hillary or the left is electable for the presidency. No one on the left has enough name recognition nationally to get elected other than Hillary. Hillary's candidacy is going to crash and burn in one of several ways.

1. A smoking gun comes out regarding Benghazi, Emailgate, or another past/current scandal.
2. She is getting along in years. She's ripe for not being able to handle the grueling schedule.
3. I still think that there is more to her "fainting" incident a few years ago.
4. Who wants a dirty old man as a First Dude. (A term that will become attached to that position forever if it happens)
