The Rib Shack was open for more than 30 years, with savory dishes like rib tips, baby back ribs and onion rings the size of doughnuts.
GRANGER, Ind. -- One of the best places for a good slab of ribs in Michiana has been torn down.

Demolition crews took down The Rib Shack on SR23 in Granger Monday.


The Rib Shack was open for more than 30 years, with savory dishes like rib tips, baby back ribs and onion rings the size of doughnuts.

Cheri Johnson and her husband bought the restaurant in 2010, reopening it after the eatery, once owned by her father, fell on hard times.

Johnson used many of the recipes created by her father, and told us back in 2011 that patience was the secret to their signature
