New Hydroelectric Plant Serving Michiana ?

Postby OldFud » Wed Dec 14, 2016 11:40 am

Just announced in News on 95.3 FM radio . . .

University of Notre Dame has been given the green light to build a hydro-electric generation plant on the St. Joseph River.

Who has not observed the large-volume flow of the St. Joseph River, and not wondered why its energy is not being exploited to contribute electric power to Michiana ?

It is about time !

Geeeesh ! Is anyone minding the store ?

... the ultimate irony of this, is that the Commerce Center was the original power plant in south bend, powered by water turbines in the basement. So everything old is new again?
