Bohn-Stewart, a mother of three, was a host on Denise & Jonny in the Morning on 98.3 The Coast. As you may remember, she previously spent several years as a reporter for WSBT 22.
Bohn-Stewart was a breast cancer survivor and was formerly on the board of directors for the Michigan chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. She also once served as vice president.
"It's a sad day," said Berrien County Sheriff Paul Bailey.
The home is in the 3100 block of Wyndwicke Drive. Police say a child called 911 from the house just before 7 a.m.
Police say there were three children in the home at the time and all are OK.
Denise and Eric were residents of the home, say state police. We're told officials are not looking for a suspect.
"We have lost a member of our family at Mid-West Family Broadcasting...Rest in Peace, Denise," 95.3 the Coast posted to its Facebook page.
